DALLAS â€" Dive teams have been called to White Rock Lake to search for the body of a missing paddle boarder. The 55-year-old man disappeared into the choppy water around 3 p.m. Saturday.

He was one of several people who went missing on area lakes after sudden storms with strong winds appeared Saturday afternoon across North Texas, including at Lake Lewisville and Lake Ray Hubbard as well.

Biannca Holmes and her 18-year-old twin brother, Briandon, watched from the shores of White Rock Lake as the wind blew the man and his son off their paddle boards near Lakewood Park on the western shore.
“All I thought about was no one was jumping in,” Briandon told News 8. “Somebody has to do it, so I just jumped in.”
He and his sister ran into the water and fought the strong waves to try to swim to the struggling man, who was not wearing a life jacket.
“While we were swimming towards him, we were getting pushed away,” Biannca said. “We were swimming towards him; we just couldn’t get to him.”
She said the man stayed above water for only a few minutes before disappearing beneath the surface. His 21-year-old son was able to make it shore.

Dallas Fire-Rescue’s swift water team patrolled the waters looking for the man. After several hours, they stopped and called in a dive team that planned to search until nightfall.
“The current was very strong,” Briandon said. “It was really difficult. I gave it my all.”
Another person remains missing at Lake Lewisville after a boat overturned from the gusty winds. Lewisville’s dive team is searching for that person.
