7 children, among 9 people, hurt in car crash - FOX 4 News

Nine people, including seven children, were hurt in a single vehicle crash early this morning.

It happened just after 1AM in the 300 block of McCreary Road in Wylie.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the victims' vehicle roughly 500 feet off the road.

It apparently was driven through a dry creek bed before settling in long grass.

The victims -- a man, woman, their five children, and two nieces -- were yelling for help.

The children range in age from 6 to 14.

The 14 year old suffered life threatening injuries and is now in a medically induced coma.

Three of the other children were flown to Children's Medical Center in Dallas, while the other victims were taken by ambulances to hospitals.

The driver told police that he believes he suffered a seizure and the woman who was in the vehicle also told officers that she believed the driver suffered from some medical condition.

The names of the victims are not being released at this time.

Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
