Dallas gang member added to state's most wanted list - WFAA

DALLAS â€" A Dallas man wanted for violating his parole after a narcotics charge has been added to the state’s most wanted list. 

Rickey Lynn Johnson, 31, has racked up arrests for displaying a weapon in a school zone and possessing marijuana. He was arrested in 2003 for selling cocaine to an undercover police officer.

In 2005, police arrested him for having cocaine. He landed a four-year sentence in 2008, but was paroled in 2009. 

On April 23, 2010, the state issued a warrant for his arrest after he violated parole. Johnson is a known member of the Crips gang and stands 5 feet 8 inches tall. He weighs 211 pounds and has “DIXON” tattooed on his abdomen, “100%” and “TIFFANY” on the back of his left hand, “GRINDIN” on the back of his right hand and “CRIP” on his inside-right forearm. 

He has family members in the Dallas area and has worked as a barber in the past.

The state’s issued a $7,500 cash award for information that leads authorities to his location and subsequent arrest. Below are a few of the ways tipsters can anonymously help investigators:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Text the letters DPSâ€"followed by your tipâ€"to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
  • Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
  • Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
