North Texas Ground Spraying Schedule - NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth (blog)

Below is the latest schedule of mosquito ground spraying, broken down by county.

Collin County

**McKinney
McKinney will spray for mosquitoes for three nights between Aug. 13-15 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.  The spray area is generally in an area south of U.S. 380, west of Airport Road, north of Industrial Boulevard and east of College Drive.  Signs will be posted at major intersections notifying residents.

**Wylie
Spraying will take place between 10 p.m. Aug. 15 and 5 a.m. Aug. 16 for areas that have Wednesday trash pick up.

Dallas County

At dusk on Aug. 16, Dallas County is expected to begin aerial spraying for mosquitos.  To see which cities are participating in aerial spraying, click here.

**Grand Prairie
Spraying will take place Aug. 17 between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. in an area bound by Butterfield Trail on the north, Opelousas Court on the west, Spanish Trail on the south and Matthew Road on the east.

**Highland Park
On Aug. 13-15, the entire city of Highland Park will be sprayed by ground beginning at about 10 p.m.

**North Dallas
Areas of North Dallas will be sprayed for mosquitoes on three consecutive nights, Aug. 13-15, weather permitting, beginning at 10 p.m. each night.

  • Control Area; North Dallas: The area to be sprayed is within an area bounded on the north by Royal Lane on the west by Preston, on the south by Northwest Highway and on the east by Central Expressway.
  • Control Area; North Dallas: The area to be sprayed is bounded on the north by LBJ Freeway on the west by Central Expressway and Abrams Road, on the south by Royal Lane and Walnut Hill Lane and on the east by Plano Road.
  • Control Area; North Dallas: The area to be sprayed is within an area bounded on the north by Walling Lane on the west by Abrams Road, Skillman Street and Greenville Avenue on the south by Prospect Avenue, and on the east by Abrams Road Mockingbird Lane and Lawther Road. Dart Rail on the north and west, Graham Avenue on the south and East Grand Avenue on the east.

**Richardson
On Aug. 14 in Richardson, ground spraying will take place between 10 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. Wednesday between West Belt Line Road south to West Spring Valley Road; Coit Road east to Central Expressway.

Tarrant County

**Bedford
Bedford will spray four nights over two weeks based on the schedule below.

  • Spraying will take place between 10 p.m. Aug. 15 and 4 a.m. Aug. 16 between the western city limit and Central Drive and north from Harwood  Road to Cheek Sparger.
  • Spraying will take place between 10 p.m. Aug. 16 and 4 a.m. Aug. 17 between Central Drive to the eastern city limit and north from Harwood Road to Cheek Sparger.
  • Spraying will take place between 10 p.m. Aug. 22 and 4 a.m. Aug. 23 between the western city limit and Central Drive and north from Harwood  Road to Cheek Sparger.
  • Spraying will take place between 10 p.m. Aug. 23 and 4 a.m. Aug. 24 between Central Drive to the eastern city limit and north from Harwood Road to Cheek Sparger.

**Benbrook
The city will spray for mosquitoes between 11 p.m. Aug. 15 and 6 a.m. Aug. 16 in a half-mile radius of the 1000-block of Park Drive near Timbercreek Park.  The area is generally bound by Timbercrest, Willow Way, Trinity Drive and Kane Street.

**Fort Worth has decided to have targeted ground spraying for mosquitoes in zip codes 76104 and 76110. The spraying will take place Friday through Sunday, Aug. 17-19, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. If delayed by weather, the schedule will shift one day. This is the first spraying in Fort Worth in 20 years.
