Mat Kearney: The pop singer (“Nothing Left To Lose”) plays a free acoustic set at Aloft Hotel in downtown Dallas.

Lauren Mann: The indie folk-pop singer’s band is called the Fairly Odd Folk. Catch them at the House of Blues.

Royal Lane Baptist Church Arts Festival: The church is presenting a juried art show and sale featuring works by about 40 artists with an “For All Things There Is a Season” theme.

“Dead Sea Scrolls & the Bible”: Fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls, a portion of a Gutenberg Bible and a 1611 King James Bible are on display in an exhibit at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. There’s also a simulated archaeological dig.
